Yesterday was the Dual City convention here at my city... so my group of friends and I went, got a table and showed our works; in the morning it was a little too calm, people barely stopped at our table, but later, people came in big quantities... they asked for us, for our works, most of them wanted to buy some of our drawings... it was so cool!

I sold about 5 drawings (cheap of course -_-), and my other coleagues sold about the same. We too organized a drawing contest, $10 pesos the entry. 11 persons suscribed, so it was a good amount. It was very fun being the judges of the contest, and we could notice that there are people that have a lot of talent, they need to polish if of course, but it was nice to know we were not the only ones there who knew how to draw ^_~

By the end of the day, I was still drawing, and even some guy wanted me to do him two more drawings, an inked one and a colored one. Of course, my price had to go up, but he still payed me about 40% of it! O_O That's one more commission for me, hehe!

Overall, it was a fine day... the only thing I regret is that I could not buy anything at the convention! >.<

The money we earned from everything will be used for self promotion in the next comic/anime convention. Wish us luck!

Today is the happiest day of my week.
I met today with some friends, so we could have a little chat about the stuff we like... and that's drawing!
I met these guys at an anime/comics convention in my city a few weeks ago, and well, I never thought I could find so many talented artists in so little time!

So, we were hanging out today, one of them was talking about a small job to do two characters for some new comic con, and he wanted our help/opinions. We told him that we could help, and he said wanted to give us full credit if we did. I proposed we made a group, so we could be easier recognized by people; and then one friend jokingly said, "hey, let's name it lunchbox!". And so, Colectivo Lunchbox, or Lunchbox Collective was born today!

This is also helpful in a way, since we were planning to buy a table at one of the next anime/comic conventions in my country, named La Mole. We want to be there and share our art with people... and with this new group we just formed, things will be much easier, and professional in my opinion.

So, thanks to Erik, Ademar and Mario for wanting to make a difference. Let's just hope people will be ready for us ^_~

So yeah, I thought I should made some use of this journal thingie... not much to say, only that I feel so bored lately! Even work is not enough to ease my boredom.

The good news is that I've been on a great drawing rampage... a pic of my two beautiful demons is my last favorite of the week ^_^ unless I begin to color that naughty yaoi Kenji x Eiji pic I just drew... mwahahaha...
